GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

Officials from several agencies are on hand in Ascension Parish on Wednesday to help victims devastated by the recent storms.

Agencies like FEMA, GOHSEP and the small business administration have set up shop at Lamar Dixon in Gonzales this week to answer questions about storm recovery.

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is also there to help those who lost food due to the historic flooding to sign up for disaster food stamps, which is also known as DSNAP.

"We've done several press releases on the zip codes that we'll be serving and those are available online," said Jean Guinta with DCFS. "You can check to see if your zip code is listed and if so, you can come out to Lamar Dixon and we'll be happy to help you on the day assigned by your alphabet."

Officials said people whose last names begin with the letters A through F can go sign up Wednesday. People are urged to pre-apply.
