BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman is recovering from injuries she sustained after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.
A Baton Rouge Police spokesperson says a bicyclist was traveling down Perkins Road just after 1:30 p.m. when they decided to turn on the sidewalk at Stanford Avenue.
Police say the bicyclist saw an opening in traffic and attempted to cross the street without using a crosswalk. The driver hit the cyclist but is not considered at fault. Neither party was issued a ticket.
The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
