BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Another name was thrown into the hat for Louisiana's soon to be vacant U.S. Senate seat on Monday.
Democrat Caroline Fayard announced her entry into the race at the Baton Rouge Press Club, saying she's ready to do the work to win.
"It's about me working just as hard as I can, and outworking every other candidate, meeting as many people as I can, shaking every hand, listening to all the needs, worries and concerns that face real people," says Fayard.
Fayard spent the last six years as a lawyer negotiating the BP oil spill settlement. Fayard ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2010. In the mean time, she has been a part of the New Orleans based Glo Airlines.
