Disaster recovery center to open in Livingston Parish Tuesday

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The Louisiana Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will open a disaster recovery center in Livingston Parish Tuesday. 

The center will be located at the Satsuma Village Mall, 28975 S. Satsuma Road, Suite D in Satsuma. 

Representatives from GOHSEP, FEMA, the U.S. Business Administration, volunteer groups and other agencies will be on hand to provide disaster assistance Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. 

Officials ask that residents pre-register with FEMA before visiting the center.

Officials are planning to open more recovery centers.
