A Baton Rouge man faces a felony obscenity charge after allegedly flashing someone outside of a Scotlandville library.

On March 26, Jeremy Coates, 26, allegedly exposed himself to a manager and occupants inside the library on 7373 Scenic Highway. When he was approached by an East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputy, he fled the scene on foot.

Two days later, on March 28, Coates was located by officers in the parking lot of the Jack in the Box at 2805 Scenic Highway. When officers attempted to place the suspect under arrest, Coates attempted to escape again, jumping fences and weaving between buildings before being captured in the rear parking lot of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority house at 1605 Harding Boulevard.

Coates faces felony obscenity and resisting an officer charges. No bond has yet been set.
