BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says that two deputies were involved in a shooting outside of a night club early Saturday.
The incident happened just after 1:30 a.m. in the 8500 block of Greenwell Springs Road.
According to officials, two deputies with EBRSO responded to a possible domestic battery call at Club MVP. While investigating the call, shots rang out in the parking lot.
When one of the suspects allegedly fired on deputies, the two deputies returned fire.
Two people were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Neither of the deputies were injured in the shooting.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Louisiana State Police.
