Former police officer convicted of indecent behavior bonds out of jail during appeal

GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

A former Sorrento and Gonzales police officer convicted of indecent behavior with a juvenile has bonded out of jail. 

Owen Ockman Jr.,35, was released Thursday afternoon after posting a $125,000 bond. 

Ockman Jr., who was convicted of molesting a teen girl over the course of four years, was sentenced to 5 years in prison Monday. His lawyer then filed to appeal the sentence.  

The judge then set Ockman Jr.'s bond at $125,000.
