Two armed robbery suspects are back in custody after escaping from the Avoyelles Parish Detention Center Tuesday morning, according to officials with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 19-year-old Kyron Folse and another inmate, Frank Sneed, were discovered missing from their cell about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Both inmates were being held on charges for armed robbery. Officials say they chipped through a hole in the ceiling and crawled through a storage area that led to the outside before jumping a fence to escape.

Sneed was captured in the New Roads area later in the day, but Folse was still at large and considered armed and dangerous at the time.

Folse was found Wednesday evening in New Roads.

Folse was previously charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, theft, and two counts of simple battery.
