BRPD officials looking for suspect in attempted ice cream shop robbery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police are asking for help finding an ice cream store robber.

On March 16, a suspect walked into the Baskin Robbins ice cream shop on Florida Boulevard posing as a customer. He sampled several flavors of ice cream, left the business, and returned minutes later, demanding money from the register as he lifted his shirt to show a knife in his wasteband.

The suspect fled the store without stealing any money, and now the Baton Rouge Police are asking for assistance in finding the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect captured on surveillance cameras, or has other information about this robbery attempt are asked to call BRPD officials at 389-3845,or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
