BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - After a third place finish at the SEC Championships, the LSU Gymnastics team learned their placing in the NCAA Regional competitions Monday.
No. 3 national seed LSU (18-4) will be the top seed as the Tigers face five other teams in the Athens Regional in Georgia on April 2. This marks the 32nd straight NCAA regional placement for the Tigers and the 34th in LSU Gymnastics history. No. 10 national seed Georgia will host the regional.
No. 1 regional seed LSU will have a bye rotation before kicking things off on bars. The Bulldogs are seeded No. 2 in the regional and will start on beam. No. 3 Oregon State will start on floor, No. 4 Arizona will have a bye before starting on the floor, No. 5 George Washington will start on bars and No. 6 Michigan State will begin on vault.
LSU is currently ranked in the Top 5 on all four events. The Tigers are No. 1 on vault, No. 2 on floor, No. 3 on beam and No. 5 on bars. Junior Ashleigh Gnat is ranked No. 1 nationally on both vault and floor.

Tickets to the regional and NCAA Championships are available for purchase at www.NCAA.com/tickets. The Athens Regional will begin at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 2, from Stegeman Coliseum.
The two teams with the highest scores at the end of the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.
