BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Louisiana Red Cross and LSU Athletics have teamed up to raise money for Louisiana flood relief efforts.
Red Cross volunteers will be at Alex Box Stadium before Saturday's games against Alabama to raise money for the Louisiana flood relief efforts.
Fans wanting to donate can donate coins, cash or a check made out to American Red Cross/Louisiana Floods.
LSU fans helped in 2011 and 2013 after tornadoes struck Alabama and Oklahoma, in 2012 after Hurricane Isaac hit Louisiana and after the 2015 floods in South Carolina.
"LSU fans are always stepping up, and generously, to care for our neighbors facing and recovering from disasters - especially across the SEC," says Merri Alessi, chapter executive of Red Cross Capital Area. "We know we can count on Tiger fans again to support the on-going relief efforts for the citizens of Louisiana."
