BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU officials said a man was arrested in connection with a robbery at the student union.
LSU Police arrested Brice Poole and charged him with first-degree robbery Friday.
According to the victim, Poole allegedly walked up to a student and claimed to have a gun, but reportedly didn't show one, and demanded money. The victim told the police that Poole then said that "he was not serious but that if he did not have $40 on him he would have to go to the ATM and get $40."
. According to officials, the suspect walked with the student to the union, where the student withdrew the and gave it to the suspect, who then left.
The victim described the suspect as a man wearing a black Star Wars t-shirt, jeans, black vest, brown had and had yellow "crocs."
Officials said Poole was caught north of campus by Baton Rouge Police Department, who assisted the LSU Police Department with making the arrest.
When police told Poole he was being arrested for making the victim withdraw money from his account, Poole said that the victim gave him the money and that he had spent it on drugs.
Poole was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. No bond has been set yet.
