The first game of LSU's three-game series against Alabama at Alex Box Stadium has been postponed.
The Tigers will face Alabama in a doubleheader Saturday with Game 1 starting at 2 p.m. and Game 2 is still set for 6:30 p.m. The teams will wrap up the series with a 1 p.m first pitch on Sunday.
The Tide enters the weekend series with an 11-5 record, losing three of its last four games, including a 9-2 defeat to Southern Miss on Tuesday.
Alabama is hitting .241 as a team on the season. Connor Short leads all batters with a .364 average, Keith Holcombe is hitting .313 and Chance Vincent has a .300 average.
The Tide's hitting attack includes 24 doubles, two triples and six home runs. Chandler Avant and Cody Henry both have six doubles on the season and Chandler Taylor leads the team with two home runs.
