BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Children in Louisiana have the chance to play entrepreneur with Lemonade Day Louisiana.

Raising Canes founder Todd Graves announced the plans for the 6th annual Lemonade Day at LSU Thursday.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 30, allowing kids to set up their own little store or booth and getting a taste of running a business.

"We have over 20,000 backpacks being stuffed right now and that's going to kids across the state. It's just a fun way for them to learn," Graves said. "It has a great program on how to set up your stand, suggestions of different recipes, how to market your stand, and then it drives home that save a third, spending a third, but also give a third back to your community."

Volunteers from City Year, Entergy and LSU were stuffing the lemonade yellow backpacks.

Parents can pick up the starter kits for children and are encouraged to sign up online.
