There is an "Enhanced Risk" for severe weather for parts of south Louisiana and southern Mississippi. The main threats are large hail, strong winds, lightning and locally heavy rainfall.
There have been numerous reports of hail throughout southeast Louisiana. Most reports indicate hail about golf ball or baseball size.
Severe thunderstorm warnings and severe thunderstorm watches were issued for parts of the WAFB viewing area Thursday afternoon.
The severe t-storm watch is in effect for the following parishes:
- East Baton Rouge
- East Feliciana
- Pointe Coupee
- St. Helena
- West Baton Rouge
- West Feliciana
It is scheduled to remain in effect until 8 p.m.
