BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge police sergeant with a checkered past is again under the microscope.
The 9News Investigators have learned that Sgt. Robert Schilling was issued a misdemeanor theft summons on March 10.
According to documents obtained by the 9News Investigators, Schilling is accused of stealing a Yeti cooler and another cooler from the Baton Rouge Police Department's District 2 building on Highland Road near LSU. The police report puts the total value of the two coolers at $280.
Schilling has been on paid administrative leave since March 10 while BRPD conducts an internal affairs investigation.
