BRPD officers responding to a domestic incident involving a gun at a residence in the 4200 block of Gurney Street at about 3 a.m.
An affidavit of probable cause from the Baton Rouge Police says 33-year-old Elouise Combs was allegedly having a verbal altercation with the victim and ignored verbal commands to go outside. Instead, she allegedly began to push the victim in front of an officer.
During an investigation, authorities say they found a black semi-automatic pistol in the bedroom of the home along with a plastic gallon bag of suspected marijuana.
Combs was arrested and taken to the 4th District police office for paper work. While handcuffed to a metal bench in a holding room, Combs allegedly slipped out of her handcuffs and was about to walk out of the building when officers were able to apprehend her.
Combs faces possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, domestic abuse battery, resisting an officer, and simple escape attempt charges.
