BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Four arrests of alleged washateria burglars were made by Baton Rouge Police Tuesday afternoon.

BRPD officials say a Crime Stoppers tip helped lead police to the arrests of multiple suspects..

A BRPD news release accuses Simon Manuel, Paul Maldonado, Jennifer Anselmo, Amanda Mosley, and Robert McCafferty of vandalizing and stealing 82 washing machine and dryer tops to steal money the appliances.

Manuel, 41, was already incarcerated prior to the search warrant, and will be charged with multiple counts of theft from a coin operated machine and damage to property. The same charges will apply to Maldonado, 46.

Anselmo, 22, Mosley, 46, and McCafferty, 44, were charged with illegal possession of stolen things.
