Tigers welcome Dean, Privateers to The Box

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU (12-3) will host the University of New Orleans Wednesday night at Alex Box Stadium.

The Privateers, led by former LSU star Blake Dean, are 13-3 on the season and are riding a seven game winning streak.

This year's wins include Louisiana Tech, Southern, Tulane and series sweeps against Valparaiso and Pittsburgh.

The Privateers have a team batting average of .328 with 21 triples, 11 doubles and 10 home runs.

The hitting attack is led by Kyle Bracey's .455 batting average. The junior catcher has a double, two triples, three home runs and 15 RBI.

Dakota Dean is hitting .414 with five doubles, a home run and 15 RBI.

Hezekiah Randolph is hitting .357 and Jay Robinson has a .352 batting average. Randolph leads the team with six doubles and Robinson has two doubles and two triples.

The pitching staff for UNO has a 5.08 ERA.

Shawn Semple is 3-0 on the season with a 2.02 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 26.2 innings.

Riley Hodge is 2-0 with a 3.0 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 24 innings of pitching.

Daniel Martinez leads the bullpen with 2-0 record, 2.70 ERA and six saves.
