BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU head basketball coach Johnny Jones met with the media Tuesday afternoon for his post-season press conference.
The Tigers were not selected for the NCAA Tournament and declined to participate in the NIT.

The Tigers had 11 wins this year in the league, matching last year's league win total of 11 games. It is the first time since 2005 and 2006 that LSU has won at least 11 conference games in back-to-back years.
Ben Simmons became the sixth first-year LSU player to score 500 points in a season. He is also the fourth fastest (26 games) to pass 500 in their first year and the second freshman behind Chris Jackson (1988-89). At the conclusion of the SEC Tournament, the freshman from Australia leads the SEC in rebounding (11.8), is fourth in scoring (19.2 ppg) and fifth in assists (4.8). Since the SEC began keeping assists as an official stats in 1968-69, no SEC player has ever finished in the top five in the league in all three categories.
