The LSU Tigers made a magical run to the Final Four 10 years ago under then head coach John Brady. The Tigers knocked off Iona, Texas A&M, Duke and Texas on their way to Indianapolis before a lopsided loss to UCLA ended their year. Just a one and a half years later, Brady was fired by then Athletic Director Skip Bertman.
Since Brady's dismissal, LSU has hired two more head basketball coaches and made just two trips to the NCAA Tournament in eight years.
In this interview, Brady shared his thoughts on the struggles current head coach Johnny Jones is going through and the tough situation of not reaching high preseason expectations. Brady also went into detail about his strained relationship with the legendary man he replaced at LSU, Dale Brown. And there's also the interesting story about the SEC championship ring Brady received the year after he left LSU.
