Livingston Parish officials seek damage information from homeowners to submit to FEMA

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Livingston Parish President Layton Ricks and the Livingston Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (LOHSEP) are asking residents to report all property damage and losses to the Emergency Operations (EOC) Hotline at 225-686-3996 or via email at EOC@lpgov.com.

Officials said the following information is needed: 

  • Owner name
  • Address
  • Telephone numbers
  • Type of damage
  • Inches of water in home
  • Yes or no on whether you have insurance 

The hotline will operate Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Officials added the parish needs the information to submit to FEMA in order to request federal assistance for residents.

They also stated residents may also begin their paperwork process by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov
