BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - On Friday, March 11, 2016 at 5 p.m., the doors to the Camelot Club will be closed for good. The club was founded in 1967 and is on the 21st floor of the South Tower of the Chase Bank Building.
Tom Tanner, President of the Camelot Club, wrote the club is closing after 49 years because of declining membership and a dramatic increase in rent.
For those who have events scheduled at the club, Tanner says they're making every effort to find alternate locations.
"Thanks you for your support and loyalty to the club. We hope you have enjoyed everything that the club had to offer over the years. It is a sad day for all of us," said Tanner.
