BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury indicted a teen accused of raping a younger teen, who later tested positive for HIV.
Justin Posey, 17, was charged with third-degree rape for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in August 2015.
According to the arrest warrant, the girl was taken to a hospital in Lafayette on October 27 because she was having suicidal thoughts.
After the blood test returned positive for HIV, she reportedly told police Posey had raped her while she was at a relative's house in Baton Rouge.
If found guilty of third-degree rape, Posey could be sentenced to prison for up to 25 years.
