Geismar man arrested after allegedly pointing gun at bar-goers

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - A Geismar man is facing charges after allegedly threatening bar-goers with a gun.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 37-year-old Mike Renaud was arrested on Friday after he allegedly pointed a gun at several bar patrons at a daiquiri shop in Prairieville after an altercation with employees in February.

APSO officials say Renaud was charged with possession of a firearm on the premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Renaud was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
