BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Concerned parents gathered at the capitol Sunday to protest the potential cut of health care waivers.

Parents who use the health care waivers use them to take care of children with developmental or medical problems.

Some parents say the cut would be a death sentence.

One parent says it's disappointing that healthcare waivers are being considered to possibly be cut.

"It's disappointing I have to be up here fighting for services for families like ours when corporations and other departments ans special interests don't have the same fight because exemptions that exist," says Codi Wilson.

Among those showing support at the rally were former governor Edwin Edwards and current governor John Bel Edwards.
