Greensburg elects Hurst as new mayor and 3 new aldermen

Election 2016: Louisiana Presidential Primary and other parish-by-parish elections

GREENSBERG, LA (WAFB) - Republican Willie B. Hurst has been elected the new mayor of Greensburg.

Hurst faced Democrat and former alderman, Paula McNabb, to replace former mayor Burke Jones.

Residents also elected three new aldermen.

Republican Jo Ellen Carruth defeated Democrat Allen Sain with 57 percent for the Division B alderman seat, Republican Charles "Danny" Carruth won the Division D alderman seat with 58% against Democrat James E. Self and Amanda Ficklin-Mixon beat Floyd Holden Sr. with 59 percent to take the Division E alderman seat.
