BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The transformation in the River Center arena has already started in preparation for Monster Jam 2016.
"We dumped 120 yards - or the equivalent of about 80 truckloads - of dirt to create the track" said Shawn Arcaro, Monster Jam Pit Supervisor.
The Monster Jam tour returns to the Capital City this weekend with three shows at the Baton Rouge River Center.
"Monster Jam combines high-octane, spontaneous entertainment with the ultimate in off-road, motorsport competition in the Baton Rouge area" according to a news release. "Spectators will experience jaw-dropping displays of gravity-defying performances, and witness world-class drivers compete in front of capacity crowds in both monster truck racing and freestyle competitions".
The three shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m. Prior to the shows on Saturday and Sunday, families can experience the Monster Jam 'Pit Party' for the chance to walk on the dirt track and interact with the drivers.
