LSU hosts struggling Mizzou

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU hosts the Missouri Tigers, losers in 12 of their 14 games, Tuesday night in the PMAC.

Missouri (10-19, 3-13) is 0-10 on the road this year and enters the game suffering blowouts in their last three SEC games.

Kevin Puryear leads the team in scoring with an 11.4 points per game average. Wes Clark and Namon Wright are both averaging just under 10 points a game.

Mizzou averages 68.4 points per game as a team, shooting .418 from the floor and .305 behind the 3-point line.

LSU (17-12, 10-6) comes into the game clinging to a slim chance of an NCAA Tournament bid.

Ben Simmons continues to lead the team in scoring with 19.6 ppg, in rebounds, grabbing 11.8 a game and assists, dishing out 5.0 a game.

Craig Victor II is averaging 12.4 ppg and Antonio Blakeney is scoring 12.1 points a game for the Baton Rouge Tigers.

Tuesday night's game will be the last for seniors Josh Gray and Keith Hornsby along with Henry Shortess who will be graduating as well.

Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. on the SEC Network.
