WEST FELICIANA, LA (WAFB) - Multiple agencies are investigating a high speed chase that ended in a crash around 6 p.m. outside St. Francisville.

According to St. Francisville Police, law enforcement were pursuing a man named Dereke Siner.  Police Chief Scott Ford tells 9 News, Siner may be a suspect in a double homicide in the St. Martinville area.

Ford says the chase came to an end when the suspect crashed his vehicle in the Old Laurel Hill Road area.

KLFY reports that two people were murdered in the Rosepine Mobile Home Community near Cade, Louisiana.

According to the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office, Lafayette police alerted area law enforcement they were searching for the suspect's vehicle in connection to the double homicide. West Feliciana Sheriff spokeswoman Erin Foster says deputies spotted the vehicle near Highway 61 and Louisiana 966.

Deputies from the WFPSO along with officers from the St. Francisville Police Department chased the suspect for about ten miles before he crashed, flipping his car.

Foster says Siner was captured and is in custody with the West Feleciana Parish Sheriff's Office.
