BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Early voting for the 2016 Louisiana Presidential Primary is scheduled to end on Saturday.
"This is an election where voters should absolutely check to see what's on their ballot before they go vote," said Secretary of State Tom Schedler. "Louisiana has a large number or unaffiliated or no party voters who aren't eligible to participate in the primaries, but SHOULD VOTE in any local elections for their area. Early voting is a convenient way to get your ballot cast ahead of time and is typically quick and easy."
A number of races are considered closed, meaning democrats can only vote in the democratic primaries, and republicans can only vote in republican primaries. Be sure to research what will be at the polls before you vote to know what races qualify as closed.
