BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Entergy crews say they have restored services to most of their customers affected by Tuesday's severe weather.
Some locations sustained damage to equipment such as meter bases, breaker boxes, and weather heads. Entergy says customers who sustained damage to their facilities will need repairs made by an electrician and obtain the proper permits before power can be reconnected. Once that work is complete, the customer can call 1-800-ENTERGY for a service reconnection order.
Entergy says about 1,500 customers were left without power at 11 a.m. on Friday in places like Assumption, St. James, and St. John The Baptist Parishes, but are working to get power restored before the day's end.
"We would like to thank our customers, local, state and federal agencies for their cooperation and patience while we worked safely and diligently to restore power to the communities we serve," said Dennis Dawsey, Entergy Louisiana vice president of customer service.
