LSU will host the Hornets of Sacramento State this weekend in Alex Box Stadium.
Sacramento State (3-1) enters the series on a three-game winning streak after losing their season opener to Auburn, 10-5. The Hornets bounced back in game two beating the Tigers 6-5 and winning the series in game three, 7-6 in 12 innings.
The road warriors traveled to Northwestern State on Wednesday and beat the Demons 4-2.
The Hornets have a team batting average of .247, with 10 doubles and two home runs.
Matt Smith leads the hitting attack with a .467 batting average and Kody Reynolds is hitting .313. Smith also leads the team with seven RBIs, two runs scored, two doubles and has two stolen bases on the year.
Chris Lewis and Andrew McMillan have one home run each so far this season.
LSU (3-1) looks to bounce back after a tough loss to Lamar, 12-11.
Cole Freeman is hitting .429 on the year with one double and three RBIs for the Tigers. Jake Fraley is batting .313 with two triples and one RBI, and O’Neal Lochridge is batting .300 with two home runs and five RBIs.
