We received many comments this week praising the service of the First Alert Storm Team during the tornadoes. We’re proud of our meteorologists and grateful that our area did not suffer even more loss of life during this devastating event.
For this week’s "Your Turn" segment, we're sharing accolades for another group -- the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Our letter writer is Dwayne Achee. In his words.
St. Elizabeth Hospital deserves a lot of credit for all they have done for the tornado victims of the Convent trailer park. The doctors, nurses and staff worked for over 18 hours that day performing emergency surgeries. The hospital staff also has taken care of the victims’ families by paying for hotel rooms, collecting clothes and diapers and other essential items they need. I do not feel they get the credit they deserve and these people do not ask for it. They are just doing their job.
