The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two fugitives that had active warrants.

APSO authorities say they served a warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Violet Street and found Markese Dabney, 21, hiding in a closet in the Labadieville home. He was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on simple battery and failure to appear in court for drug and weapon charges.

Authorities with the APSO report that Travanti Williams, 26, was found hiding under a bed in the same residence. He was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on failure to report an address change as a sex offender, simple battery, and unauthorized entry charges.

Both suspects remain in jail and their bonds have not been set.
