Rodeo, jambalaya cookout to benefit WFPSO employee recovering from cancer surgery

WEST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

A benefit rodeo and jambalaya cookout are scheduled to support Clovia Bunch, a West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office employee who recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous mass.

The cookout, titled ‘Cookin’ for Clovia’, will take place Friday, February 26.

$7 tickets can be picked up from all WFPSO locations, and can be exchanged for a plate of Jambalaya which can be picked up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Francisville Town Hall at 11936 Ferdinand St.. The WFPSO will personally deliver orders of 10 or more plates inside of West Feliciana.

The benefit rodeo for Bunch is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 at the West Feliciana Parish Rodeo Arena at 10226 West Feliciana Parkway. Events include calf roping, team roping, open breakaway, and barrel racing for multiple age groups.

Registration for rodeo participants begins at 8 a.m.

Cost to attend is $2, with food and drinks will be sold at the event.
