Coroner identifies second man killed in Tuesday’s deadly tornado in Convent, La.

CONVENT, LA (WAFB) -

The St. James Parish Coroner has identified the second man killed in Tuesday’s deadly tornado in Convent.

Coroner Dr. Randall Poche’ has identified the second victim as 51-year-old Scott Ellis of North Carolina.

59-year-old David Swann of Satsuma, Alabama was identified yesterday.

Poche’ believes that both of the men died from blunt force trauma after a tornado swept through the Sugar Hill RV Park Tuesday afternoon.

Thirty other residents of the RV park were reported injured.

    Meteorologists say 12 tornadoes touched down in Louisiana on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. The National Weather Service says this was the worst outbreak for our area since June 7-8, 1989. In that two-day period, 19 tornadoes hit Louisiana. In 1992, Hurricane Andrew brought 14 tornadoes to Louisiana.
