BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials held a ceremony for the completion of a project meant to improve access and safety for people living in the northern part of East Baton Rouge Parish.
A ribbon cutting was held Thursday morning for the Green Light Plan's Fairchild-Badley Improvements project. It was held near Immaculate Conception Church on Curtis Street in Baton Rouge.
The project expanded Fairchild-Badley Road from Scenic Highway to Veterans Memorial Boulevard to a two-lane curb and gutter road. The same improvements were made to a section of Elm Grove Garden Drive. Sidewalks were also added to both sides of Fairchild-Badley.
The project cost $7.5 million.
