BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Southern postponed its baseball home opener against Jackson State Wednesday night due to unplayable field conditions as the outfield was too wet.
The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but the severe weather that rolled through South Louisiana forced the game to be moved to Wednesday.
A date has yet to be determined for when the game will be rescheduled. Though Jaguar head coach Roger Cador mentioned May 10 as the possible day to try again.
Southern (0-3) travel to Auburn for a three-game weekend series, starting Friday night at 6 p.m.
