Livingston Parish narcotics officers seize over $200,000 in illegal drugs

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says they seized more than $200,000 worth of illegal drugs and arrested three people in connection with the drugs on Friday.

Narcotics officers with the LSPO executed a search warrant in the 11000 block of Buddy Ellis Road in Walker. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard says drugs were being stored, manufactured, and sold from out of the address.

Authorities found three pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $163,000, one pound of cocaine with an estimated street value of $60,000, and 1.5 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $21,500.

Detectives say they also seized a .40 caliber automatic handgun and $7,000 in cash.

Frank Demouchet of Walker, Bryalon Dugas of Breaux Bridge, and Dionel Burrell of St. Martinville were arrested and will be charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana as well as creation and operation of a clandestine lab, possession of a firearm with a CDS, and manufacturing of crack cocaine.
