BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Family and friends came together to remember a man gunned down in Baton Rouge last Tuesday.

Corey Boyd, 34, died from his injuries Thursday after being shot in the head.

Officers found Boyd lying in the driveway of a home in the 800 block of North 31st Street around 11 p.m. on February 9. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.

Boyd's family and friends held a vigil in his memory Tuesday night at the scene of the shooting.

His family said that Boyd was a good person who was willing to help anyone in need.

"He never bothered anybody, and anything you wanted, he would have gave it to you," Carolyn Boyd, victim's mother. "If he was out here when he came home, and somebody had wanted something and asked him, he would have gave it you."

Police still have not released any motive or suspects in the shooting, which is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869 or Crimes Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
