BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Sophomore wide receiver Trey Quinn has announced via twitter that he will be transferring from LSU.
Quinn caught five passes from 83 yards last season for the Tigers and as a freshman in 2014, he caught 17 passes for 193 yards.
Quinn went to Barbe High School in Lake Charles before coming to LSU as a four-star prospect. He was ranked No. 6 player in Louisiana by both ESPN and Rivals. He holds the Louisiana high school state record for career receptions with 357 and receiving yards with 6,566.
LSU granted the release of both Quinn as well as another sophomore wide receiver, Kevin Spears. No word yet on where either player will be transferring to.
