Police: Intoxicated woman calls police after hitting parked police car

THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) -

A Thibodaux woman was arrested on her second DWI charge after crashing her vehicle into a parked police unit on Sunday, Feb. 14.

According to Thibodaux Police officials, 30-year-old Monet Muilenburg crashed her vehicle into the police unit around 3:22 a.m. The police unit was parked in the parking lot of a business on North Canal Blvd.

After the crash, the woman called police. When they arrived, they suspected Muilenburg to be impaired. She was taken into custody after failing a standardized field sobriety test.

According to police her BAC was .134g%. The legal limit is .08g%. 

She was released from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on the day of her arrest after posting a $1,500 bond.
