LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - What was once a family's home was reduced to rubble after fire destroyed it Thursday morning.
It happened on Clyde Blount Road near Livingston around 9 a.m.
Witnesses on the scene said firefighters struggled to put out the blaze because there were no fire hydrants in the neighborhood. However, the Livingston Fire Chief says there was a hydrant across the street from the location of the fire and they did not struggle to put the fire out.
The neighborhood is in a rural area of Livingston Parish.
It is unknown if there were any injuries.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
