BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Repairs are being made after sinkhole formed under a FedEx truck in Baton Rouge Tuesday morning.

A sewer line gave way and the truck fell into the hole. The sinkhole happened in the parking lot of Natures Way on Bluebonnet Boulevard before Highland Road in Baton Rouge.

Workers were able to pull the FedEx truck out of the hole. The driver of the FedEx truck was not injured.

City officials say supplies were ordered Tuesday and they shored up the hole. They also barricaded the area and monitored it overnight.

The pipe that gave way was replaced and the area was back-filled. City officials say they are waiting for the fill to settle so they can pour concrete by the end of the week.
