Police: Murder suspect turns self in, charged with 2nd degree murder

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police have identified a suspect wanted in connection to the deadly shooting of Robert Harrison that happened on Mardi Gras.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported that 57-year-old Robert Harrison, of Baton Rouge, was found shot to death in the parking lot of a car wash in the 6900 block of Scenic Highway near 69th Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Detectives believe 57-year-old Gregory Netter shot and killed Harrison after an argument escalated between the two.

After police released his name, Netter turned himself into police and was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He has been charged with second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

A bond has not been set at this time.
