BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The newly released NCAA Tournament bracket projections show LSU in a better position after last week's victories against Auburn (80-68) and Miss. State (88-77).
LSU improved to 15-8 overall on the season and 8-2 in the SEC. The Tigers are currently in sole possession of first place in the SEC, a game ahead of South Carolina, Texas A&M and Kentucky.
LSU plays South Carolina on the road Wednesday, before coming home to host Texas A&M on Saturday.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi has LSU playing in St. Louis as a No. 10 seed against (7) Wichita State. Oklahoma is the No. 1 seed in the South Regional.
CBS Sports has the Tigers in Denver (South Regional) as a No. 12 seed playing No. 5 seed USC.
USA Today places the Tigers in the Midwest Regional, as "a last four in" team. LSU would play Clemson, with the winner advancing to play No. 5 seed Dayton. The Kansas Jayhawks are currently the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Regional.
