BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Heart disease is one of the biggest killers nationwide and education is key for the Go Red For Women movement.
Survivor offered their advice on surviving the disease at luncheon that was part of the movement Friday.
"My husband didn't know CPR. I had him watch a video a week before it happened to me. So he was able to use that CPR on me and save my life," Alisa Mari, cardiac arrest survivor.
Survivors also modeled their favorite red outfits for National Wear Red Day and hosted a healthy heart celebration in honor of the American Heart Association.
