LIVONIA, LA (WAFB) - Authorities in Livonia are looking for suspects seen on surveillance video stealing money from gas station and convenience store vending machines.

One video, captured on January 28 at about 1:20 p.m., shows a suspect backing into the machine to obstruct the camera's view with a blue-colored van. The suspect then uses a device to disable the lock on the machine, removing about $750 before driving out of the parking lot. The whole incident took two minutes and 30 seconds. Prior to the robbery, Livonia Police say that the suspect walked in the store to purchase a soda.

Officials say they are beginning to see a trend in thefts like this between the 190 Corridor between Texas and Louisiana.

In another incident, two suspects are shown on surveillance video attempting to steal money from a soda machine outside of another gas station. One suspect appears to have a limp to his left leg and pretends to be working on the vehicle, a white 1998-2000 Dodge Durango, while standing as a lookout for the passenger who disassembled the machine.

Authorities say these suspects were not able to break into the lock, and left the parking lot going west on US Highway 190.
