7 fire trucks, 1 fire engine respond to fire on Jones Creek

7 fire trucks, 1 fire engine used to extinguish fire in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The St. George and East Side fire departments battled a fire in the 4500 block of Jones Creek Road on Thursday evening.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at about 6:13 p.m. to an uninhabited storage unit. The fire was so far away from the road, a total of seven fire trucks and one fire engine were used. Fire officials say the flames were extinguished at about 7:13 p.m.

The building was not occupied and there were no injuries, according to the St. George Fire Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
